Superb! I love the charts and real time quotes in the list of symbols. Very well done!

I got the free version then opted for the in-app purchase. It is very simple and easy to use, easy to view a lot of information in a short time, and the way it congregates news and links to various financial information sources is extremely valuable. It’s a great app (in core functionality) but with a massive achilles heel. Initially, it was fairly (not entirely) stable, but recently (maybe due to various Yosemite updates? not sure) it crashes constantly. I do hope they will work on fixing these horrendous bugs, because currently they stop the app from being great, as they hinder usefulness due to constantly needing to reopen the app.

Pros: Reviewing stocks is a breeze. Syncs with all my devices News features is good Cons: Moving stocks between lists is very painful Crashes a lot Entered trades keep missing No notes feature.

The latest update (v3.0) just keeps crashing when I select a different stock in my list. Totally unusable.

Something definitely changed in this new version. Whenever i click an article to read it, the app crashes. Sometimes I’m lucky and I can read a few before it happens, but throughout the day, BAM! crash city. On another note, some people have commented on the amount of news this app provides, but from what I can tell, a lot of these are computer generated news stories that basically all recap the same crap every day: volume, percentage change and 52-week high and low. Big whoop. Give me news I can use.

Great app, however it constantly crashes when trying to read or clicking on a news article -Some more frequently than others. Otherwise it is easy to use and follow. If the crash issues was resolved I would give it 5 stars.

I really like the idea of this app. Having the ability to see news all in one place along with charts is a great idea. However, each (and I do mean each time) time I use the app it crashes at some point when selecting a story. This has now been going on for some time. I contacted the maker twice and sent the crash report. This was over two months ago. Nothing has changed. My plan was to use the free app to test drive and buy the pro version if it worked out. That will not happen. As long as you do not click on a news link you do not have to worry about crashing. However that seems to defeat the purpose of the app: information of all stocks of interest in one place with easy access. I suggest if you are considering this app you find an alternative.

i like these guys. got ios version and liked enough to buy mac version and sync thru cloud. ex hedge fund owner, retired, and use it now to track my personal account. its all i need. though i wish we got level III etc. etc. etc. and irregular on the OTC stuff (but everyone is). wish i could set up the news filters to not pick up all those sites that are there just to get me to click em. i think its possible but to complex for me to work through on app. went to tech support and they had me call. had a real nice feeling to how they ran the business and had a guinuine care about whether all worked well. a positive vote from me. i rarely buy stuff. finally, maybe they ought to bundle the ac and iOS versions together and just do one deal with someone like me.

Pro: StockSpy provides me the information I need in a simple to use application. Con: The app keeps badgering me to add news feeds, but when I go through <what I think are> the right steps it doesn’t stick.

Went through a long period of not being able to launch the Application. As of most recent revision, everything appears to be working. Thanks guys; those cramped phone and tablet screens do have their limitations! ;-) -bc
